Hi there! I’m Sona Iliffe-Moon, Brand and Marketing Communications PR Manager for Toyota Motor Sales, USA. I’m really excited to share an eco-conscious initiative we launched this past week in Napa Valley, Calif.
The “Eco-Driven with Toyota & Friends” media program was designed to provide a well-rounded look at curating an environmentally-sensitive lifestyle including personal care, dining, transportation and more.
The three-day experiential program included the Toyota hybrid line-up of vehicles as well as select partner brands and personalities including Aveda, Threads for Thoughts, “Top Chef Master” Mary Sue Milliken, professional skateboarder and eco activist Bob Burnquist, the yogitoes brand and more. At the event, the brands and personalities shared their sustainable and eco-sensitive business practices and products via a series of interactive workshops, panel discussions and other activities.
Some of these workshops included Ride N’ Drive opportunities with Toyota’s diverse hybrid line-up to a nearby Aveda salon for eco-friendly salon treatment, a fashion show from sustainable textile-driven fashion brand Threads for Thought, a yoga session using yogitoes recycled mats and towels, and a hands-on cooking demo featuring sustainable seafood with Mary Sue Milliken at the Culinary Institute of America.
Here at Toyota we do more than meet industry standards—we seek to raise them. Along with our partners, we are working toward a future where a wide range of innovative vehicle and fuel technologies and infrastructures converge to create an economically vibrant, mobile society in harmony with the environment.
Based on The Toyota Way, our environmental commitment is a core value extending across our operations and through the full life cycle of our products. We encourage you to stay tuned for more on how Toyota can complement your eco- sensitive lifestyle and enhance the eco-conscious movements in your communities. It’s easier than you think to lead an Eco Driven life!
