At the 2013 Aspen Ideas Festival, we had the pleasure of joining some of society’s brightest minds. During the Festival, attendees spoke about issues of global importance, such as poverty, the use of technology to positively shape public policy, education reform and advances in research and disease prevention. Toyota’s Chris Hostetter, group vice president of strategic planning for Toyota Motor Sales (TMS), U.S.A., Inc., along with North American Business Strategy Corporate Manager Jim Pisz and Senior Strategic Planner of Advanced Technology Jaycie Chitwood participated in a discussion about the future of mobility and advanced technologies such as hydrogen fuel cell vehicles and autonomous cars.
While at the Festival, we also had the privilege of spending time with the teens participating in the Aspen Challenge where we discussed urban mobility, and tested out our distracted driving simulator. The talk left us thinking the future looks bright – and wondering if we have some future Toyota engineers, researchers and scientists on our hands!
