100 Cars For Good: Community Soup Kitchen and Outreach Centerclose
Community Soup Kitchen and Outreach Center of Morristown, New Jersey, received a new Sienna minivan as the Day 20 winner of our 2011 100 Cars for Good program. Community Soup Kitchen helps feed up to 300 local men, women, and children each day. This important organization will use its new Sienna minivan to easily pick up fresh food from donors and transport canned goods from its nearby storage facility – something they were unable to do without a vehicle.
Executive Director Teresa Connolly has said, “Toyota’s donation was a game changer for us, making it possible to significantly expand our food programs at a time of extraordinary need. This ability to serve more people and to bring greater awareness to our mission simply wouldn’t have happened without Toyota.”
It’s clear that just one car can make a big difference. So imagine the good 100 cars could do. To learn more and to help other great organizations accomplish even more in their communities, follow 100 Cars for Good on Facebook at www.100carsforgood.com and on Twitter at #100cars.
