St. Louis is the original home of Toyota-owned parts manufacturer Bodine Aluminum, Inc. Soon after Toyota bought this family-owned foundry in 1990, the first shipment of cylinder heads was headed for Kentucky. Since then, employment has grown and production has expanded to three parts plants – a second location here in Missouri, in Troy, and another in Tennessee.*

In St. Louis, Bodine manufactures engine brackets and carrier covers. The Troy plant manufactures cylinder heads, cylinder blocks and automatic transmission parts. Bodine also produces aluminum cylinder blocks and automatic transmission parts at its third plant in Jackson, Tennessee.
