For more than a decade, the innovative office furniture company has relied on the Toyota Production System (TPS) to help manage its operations more efficiently and effectively. TPS is designed to focus on continuous improvement and putting the needs and expectations of the customer first. Through its ongoing relationship with our Toyota Production System Support Center (TSSC), Herman Miller has been able to use TPS to help its operations become more flexible, more customer-focused, and better able to deliver on the company pledge of doing everything on time and as promised. Since 1992, TSSC has been sharing the techniques of TPS to help companies and organizations across the country increase efficiencies, streamline processes, and better serve their customers. TSSC recently launched a national program to support up to 20 community and non-profit organizations across the U.S., using TPS to help improve their operations, extend their reach and increase their impact.
