Following the string of tornadoes that devastated much of northern Alabama in April 2011, Toyota team members from our Huntsville manufacturing plant volunteered to help in the relief efforts. Cleaning debris, removing trees and unloading and sorting donations at distribution centers were among the many projects in which volunteers participated as they neared their goal of 10,000 volunteer hours by the end of May 2011. In addition to providing full pay to our team members as they helped our local Alabama communities, Toyota donated $1 million to the American Red Cross to aid tornado relief efforts throughout the U.S.
