The Prius Concept Bikeclose
What if we told you that there’s a bicycle that can read your mind? Would you believe us if we told you that the Toyota Prius was the inspiration behind the bike?
That is precisely what the partnership between Toyota, Parlee Cycles, and Deep Local has produced. The Prius x Parlee (PXP) concept bike brings the innovative design elements of the Prius to a bicycle. The PXP uses a smartphone mounted on the bike to record its metrics, including the rider’s heart rate, pace, speed, brain waves, and past habits. So if you shifted gears while riding down a hill yesterday, the bike will remember your action.
What is most significant is the PXP helmet that has built in electrodes that are able to read brain activity, allowing riders to shift gears with their mind. If you think you want to downshift while riding down a hill, the bike will do just that.
